The Mortgage Room was founded in 2006 by Paul Fuller and his wife Robyn after a career of more than 25 years working together in the banking industry. Paul brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his role as a Financial Advisor, specialising in lending and personal risk insurance.

Paul Fuller

Director & Financial Adviser on Home Loans & Personal Risk Insurance

Two time winner of the New Zealand Mortgage Adviser of the Year; Paul's passion lies in helping people. Whether that be in a professional scope, assisting others to achieve home ownership and reach their financial goals, or out within the community, where he is a current trustee for the St Marks Foundation. Paul loves to live the Kiwi dream and spends his down time with his family hunting, fishing and pottering around their lifestyle block.

Robyn Fuller

Advisor Support

Robyn worked alongside Paul in their banking days at Westpac and over the last 15 years has helped Paul to achieve his dream of the Mortgage Room. Paul’s rock both in the home and at the office, Robyn specialises in the general running of both, offering Advisor Support to Paul and the rest of the team, as well as their two children in their sports and after school activities.

Bridget Fernandez

Advisor Support

Since returning to Blenheim from London in 2001, Bridget has worked for local law firms, accountants and real estate companies acquiring a vast amount of industry experience and knowledge. Bridget joined Mortgage Room in 2019 where she hit the ground running and was soon named a finalist for the Astute Advisor Support Person of the Year. Bridget loves spending time outdoors with her kids mountain biking or camping.

Blair Irvin

Advisor Support

Blair is new to the finance industry but is not new to the Mortgage Room. Going from a client in 2019, we managed to switch him to a valued member of our team in 2020. He enjoyed the process with us so much that after 12 years in the kitchen as a chef, he decided it was time for a career change. Blair is currently working in an adviser support role, while studying towards his New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5) v2, Specialising in Lending and Personal Risk Insurance.

Kirk Dyer

Advisor Support

Kirk joined the Mortgage Room in January of 2021. She spent the first 10 years of her career in the hospitality industry both in New Zealand and whilst travelling overseas. Upon her return, she moved into the insurance and banking sector before she decided to join the Mortgage Room team. And we’re so glad she did...her baking is next level!
